2026 Music-Science Summer Program!
The 3 week 2026 Foundation summer program will focus on the relationship between music and science, with a specific focus on bel canto Choral singing, aimed at performing on December 16, 2026 at Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium—“America at 250”.
No specific background in any of these fields is required for participation in this program! However, an inquisitive mind and desire to participate is a necessity!
TIME AND PLACE
Dates — July 9 to July 20, 2026
Time — 10 am to 2:30 pm — Monday through Thursday
Place — University Heights High School, 701 St. Anne’s Ave., Bronx
Directions — 2 and 5 train
Ages — 12 and older
Tuition — Free, but seating is limited

12:30pm - 2:30 pm — SCIENCE!
The science portion will encourage and equip students to determine for themselves whether and how there exists a pre-established harmony between "science" and "art". Topics range from Plato’s Meno dialogue, to demonstrating how Kepler determined the planetary orbits by applying musical intervals. How does the Universe sing? How do we create thought experiments using musical ideas?
