THE SCHOOL CHORUS PROJECT:
"If you can speak you can sing, and if you can sing with others you are capable of creating something miraculous! Like speaking, singing is one of the most natural things we do and an elegant way that we add to our communication and expression. Moreover, when we sing together, as in a choir, it is one of the most advanced interactions you can undertake. It aids in developing complex physical and mental agility and control, and a continually improving understanding of one’s own body and mind. Singing also integrates several disciplines: mathematics, geometry, psychology, anatomy, language acquisition… to name just a few. And all of that occurs while you are having fun creating beauty with others!
"If you are already comfortable singing, please join the choir. If you think you can’t sing… definitely JOIN THE CHOIR and awaken your dormant ability."
"WHAT WE WILL DO
"We will develop young singers’ ability to sing with freedom using the “Bel canto” method of voice training developed during the 15th century “Renaissance”. This will allow singers to be fully and easily engaged while learning actual musical lines and, when necessary, text in other languages. This training will give students the confidence and aptitude to fully express themselves and communicate their ideas effectively."
